ABOUT TODD WOLFE
Todd Wolfe is an artist whose studio is located in Owego, NY. He graduated from Genoa Academy in 1990 with a degree in furniture making and design. Todd has spent his creative career designing and building everything from furniture to complete houses. He has always had a minimal aesthetic that focuses on how forms interact with each other to create a whole that is more than the sum of its parts.
In 2021, Todd’s creative direction was diverted away from furniture and towards the challenge of distorting the artist canvas out of its traditional two-dimensional plane. His background in woodworking and his eye for detail has given him the skills needed to create the precise yet sturdy plywood strutures that lie beneath the the canvas. His years of designing and building art furniture has given him the visual vocabulary to design and arrange these canvases in ways that create a visual interest that constantly changes as the viewer moves around the pieces.
Todd and his wife Patricia currently live in Endicott, NY. They have three children (Phillip, Daniel and Clayton) who are currently residing across the globe in Endicott, New York; Chiang Mai, Thailand; and Tucson, Arizona.
